HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-11-6301674 ORDINANCE NO. 2000-11- (A © 1 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF FIERS HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING FOR INSTALLATION OF 8 REZNOR TUBULAR HEATERS IN FLEET MAINTENANCE AT THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Fiers Heating & Air Conditioning in the amount of $20,000, for installation of 8 Reznor tubular heaters in the Fleet Maintenance area at the Public Works Facility, said bid being in substantial compliance with bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of Fiers Heating & Air Conditioning of November 17, 2000. SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Fiers Heating & Air Conditioning for the installation of tubular heaters, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to Account No. 070-2215-541-4205. SECTION 4. Due to the need for immediate installation for heat with the upcoming winter months, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
