AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING
THE CITY OF PADUCAH URBAN RENEWAL AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY'S
PURCHASE OF THE REAL PROPERTY OF JAMES L.
ADAMS, DAVID SULLIVAN, ROBERT JERRY
BOWDEN AND DAVID McCARTNEY AT 216 SOUTH
V'1D STREET, PADUCAH, McCRACKEN COUNTY,
KENTUCKY, FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF $
250,000.009 PLUS OTHER GOOD AND VALUABLE
CONSIDERATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah Urban Renewal and Community
Development Agency has entered into an Agreement For Sale with James L. Adams, David
Sullivan, Robert Jerry Bowden and David McCartney, dated 12/22/00, for the acquisition of
real property for the Four Rivers Center for the Performing Arts; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of approving the acquisition of the real
property by it's Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency; and
Kentucky:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City of Paducah,
Section 1. The City of Paducah hereby formally approves of the City of
Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency's acquisition of the real
property of James L. Adams, David Sullivan, Robert Jerry Bowden and David McCartney,
located at 216 South 2nd Street, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, for and in
consideration of $250,000.00, plus other good and valuable consideration.
Section 2. In order to close the sale by year's end and to allow for the
breaking of ground for the Four Rivers Center as soon as possible, an emergency is declared
to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
