In attendance: Paul Grumley, Karen Petter, Jackie Smith, Mary
Hammond, Pam Spencer, Wayne Armbruster, Ania Lasota,
Ronna Ward, Staci Drake, Monica Feitier, Bruce Carter

Meeting was called to order by Jackie at noon. Phones
silenced and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
II. Business Awards: Awards were given out at the last
y commission meeting.
III. Treasurer: Rot�'a reported we have $6235.34 in our
account. The money has been paid for the lights.
IV. Karen passed out last month's meeting minutes.
Minutes were approved. Paul motioned to accept, and
Monica seconded.
V. Pick up Paducah: Bruce reported that he will have to
extend the timeline. Can't make it before Quilt show. He
could not meet with Mayor. He must take a step back
for personal reasons. Jackie will meet with Whitney this
month to get things situated.
VI. Correspondence: no report
VII. Recording Sec: no report
VIII. Membership: we have four openings.
IX. House of the Month: 2921 Old Mayfield Rd home of
M/M Richard Washington.
X. Children's Memorial Garden: no report
XI. Tree Board: Mary Hammond has been asked to join the
board.
XII. Garden Liaison: Ania reported she had not heard from
Bud about the spring event. We are still sited to donate
$500 to the event.
XIII. Monument Board: no report
XIV. DWT: Jackie reported that she got the numbers
together for the new signs. She will contact Troutman
since Minute Man cannot do them. Mary said it will be
very expensive to change the trail map at this point. The
trail will stay as is. Wayne reported we can still plant
dogwoods now. He mentioned Warren County Nursery
for dogwoods. There was discussion on purchasing
some trees and giving them to the public who does not
have one in their yard.
XV. CBB Award: no report
XVI. New Business: Jackie reported we need to work on the
nominating board. The board needs to meet before
May. Mary discussed that in the past the city had a
coffee at City Hall. We would invite the garden clubs
and swap ideas. It has been planned for Monday, March
13th at 10 am at City Hall. Ronna will organize the food.
We would like to4'as many board members as possible.
XVII. We would like to make note we will miss our most
recent members who have resigned. John Park and
Phyllis Clymer. Thank you for all your dedication to the
board all these years. You will be greatly missed.
XVIII. Old Business: Discussed reinventing the fountain.
Jackie asked if anyone could help.
XIX. Meeting adjourned at 1 pm.
