ORDINANCE NO.2003-4-ktt-U
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR
ACQUISTION OF PROPERTY LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE EAST SIDE OF
FISHER ROAD APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET NORTH OF INTERSECTION OF
FISHER ROAD AND OLD HINKLEVILLE ROAD FOR FURTHER AVIATION
DEVELOPMENT OF BARKLEY REGIONAL AIRPORT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, is hereby authorized to execute a Contract for Sale of Real Estate and a
General Warranty Deed between Gail Amonett Bachuss, the City of Paducah, Kentucky
and County of McCracken, Kentucky, as buyers, and any other documents necessary for
the purchase of property located adjacent to the east side of Fisher Road approximately
500 feet north of intersection of Fisher Road and Old Hinkleville Road for further
aviation development of Barkley Regional Airport, for and in consideration of
$132,000.00.
SECTION 2. Property to be acquired in Section 1 above is more
particularly described as follows:
Being part of the land conveyed to J. F. Blalock and R. F.
Wright by deed of record in D.B. #61, page 450 in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office and lying on the
Paducah and Hinkleville Road: the part of said land hereby
conveyed by this deed is bounded as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at N.W. cor. at a stake in center of Mt. Zion &
Fisher School house road corner to J.C. Clusterman and A.
W. Rickman; thence with said Fisher School house road S.
16 deg. W. 94-1/5 poles to a stake in center of Paducah &
Hinkleville Road; thence with the center of said road S. 74
deg. E. 117-1/4 poles to a stake in said road; thence in a
new line N. 24 deg. E. 99 poles to a stake in Clusterman &
Rickman line; thence with said line N. 75 deg. W. 133
poles and 9 links to the beginning & containing 75 acres.
There is excepted from the aforesaid -described tract the
following:
Tract #I. 1 %2 acres in the Southwest corner used for church
purposes, but if said 1 %2 acres should ever revert back to
said grantors herein, then said Roy Spalding or his heirs
and assigns shall have the privilege to buy same at the same
price per acre as above.

Tract #II. Located in West McCracken County, Kentucky,
containing 1.581 acres and being more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a 3/4 in ch iron pin located approximately
0.13 miles southeasterly of the intersection of the Fisher
Road (Ky 724) and the Lamont -Middle Fork Road (KY

1490) at Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church
and 30 feet north of the centerline of the north right-of-way
line of Ky. 1490; thence ....North 22 deg. 05min. East
227.50 ft. to a 3/4 inch iron pin set in the fenceline; thence.
. . .South 69 deg. 13min. East 301.30 feet along the
fenceline to a 3/4 inch iron pin set in the fenceline; thence. .
.. South 22 deg. 00min. West 229.40 feet to a 3/4 inch iron
pin set on the north right-of-way of KY 1490; thence...
.North 68 deg. 51 min. West with the said right-of-way line
301.60 feet to the point of beginning.
And being part of the same property conveyed to grantors
by deed dated February 26, 1906, and recorded in Deed
Book 78, page 441, McCracken County Court Clerk's
Office.
Tract #III. Beginning at a point in the center of the
Paducah and Hinkleville Road SE corner of the property of
grantors herein; thence N. 24 deg. E. 1,633%2 ft., NE corner
of grantors property; thence N. 75 deg. W. 112 ft. to the
east bank of the creek; thence S. on a straight line and with
the east bank of the creek to the center of the Paducah and
Hinkleville Road to a point 322 ft. W. of the point of
beginning; thence with the center of the said road S. 74
deg. E. 332 ft. to the point of beginning, containing
approximately ten acres.
Tract III is the same property conveyed to Preston Finnell
et ux by deed dated August 24, 1964, and recorded in Deed
Book 459, page 231, McCracken County Court Clerk's
Office.
The property that is the subject of this contract is same
property conveyed to Fred H. Amonett and Juanita
Amonett by deed of Ray Spalding and Bess Spalding
acknowledged May 4, 1996, recorded in Deed Book 477,
page 406. Fred H. Amonett predeceased his wife, Juanita
Amonett, and his interest in said property passed to Juanita
Amonett by the survivorship provision in the deed. Gail
Amonett Bachuss inherited said property by Will of Juanita
Amonett recorded in Will Book III, page 639. Aforesaid
records are in the office of the McCracken County Court
Clerk.
SECTION 3. Revenue generated by Barkley Regional Airport.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuantA&YERS.-Thapter 424.
