HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO #2695MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 2695 A MUNICIPAL ORDER OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH DISBANDING THE 911 COMMUNICATION SERVICES OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Municipal Order No. 2491 which approved a Memorandum of Understanding Regarding E-911 Partnership Formation (hereinafter "MOU") with McCracken County on August 9, 2021; and WHEREAS, Section 2 of said MOU established a Joint 911 Communication Services Oversight Committee (hereinafter "Committee"); and WHEREAS, said MOU charged the Committee with making recommendations to the Paducah City Commission and McCracken County Fiscal Court regarding 911 upgrades, funding options, and governance; and WHEREAS, the Committee was appointed and met regularly from January 10, 2022 to November 28, 2022; and WHEREAS, the Committee formalized and presented recommendations regarding upgrades, funding, and governance in November of 2022; and WHEREAS, having completed the charge of the MOU, the City Commission now wishes to disband the 911 Communications Services Oversight Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby finds that the 911 Communication Services Oversight Committee has completed its purpose and charge as established by the Memorandum of Understanding Regarding E-911 Partnership Formation dated August 9, 2021. SECTION 2. That the City Commission hereby formally disbands the 911 Communication Services Oversight Committee. SECTION 3. This Municipal Order shall he e ffg6y1+ from and after the date of its adoption.
