A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR AND ACCEPTANCE
OF A FY2024 HIGHWAY SAFETY GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000 THROUGH
THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR OVERTIME PAY FOR OFFICERS
AND THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) MOVING RADAR UNITS, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO SAME
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes the submission of an
application in the amount of $35,000 for an FY2024 Highway Safety Grant through the
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Of the total request, $25,000 in grant funds will be used for
overtime pay for officers, and $10,000 will be used for the purchase of four (4) moving radars.
No local match is required.
SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts the FY2024 Highway
Safety Grant in the sum awarded through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for payment of
overtime pay for officers and the purchase of four radar units, and authorizes the Mayor to
execute all documents related to same.
SECTION 3. This order will be in full force and effect Rpm and after the date of
its adoption.
