ORDINANCE NO. 2003-10-6707
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR
ACQUISTION OF PROPERTY LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE EAST SIDE OF
FISHER ROAD APPROXIMATELY 950 FEET NORTH OF INTERSECTION OF
FISHER ROAD AND OLD HINKLEVILLE ROAD FOR FURTHER AVIATION
DEVELOPMENT OF BARKLEY REGIONAL AIRPORT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, is hereby authorized to execute a Contract for Sale of Real Estate and a
General Warranty Deed and any other documents necessary for the purchase of property
located adjacent to the east side of Fisher Road approximately 950 feet north of
intersection of Fisher Road and Old Hinkleville Road for further aviation development of
Barkley Regional Airport, for and in consideration of $75,000.00.
SECTION 2. Property to be acquired in Section 1 above is more
particularly described as follows:
The following is a boundary description for a one -acre lot being a portion of the
property of Gordon Farms, Inc. as recorded in Deed Book 853, Page 572 (Tract
No. 3, Parcel B) in the office of the County Court Clerk of McCracken County
KY.
Beginning at an iron pin and cap stamped TLS/SEI KY LS 3559, said iron pin
being the southwest corner of the above referenced one -acre, said iron pin being
North 67°42'34" West, a distance of 19.71 feet from the point at the end of the
centerline for the 20 foot wide easement described in the easement below; thence
from the point of beginning South 67°42'34" East, a distance of 208.71 feet to an
iron pin; thence North 22°17'26" east, a distance of 208.71 feet to an iron pin;
thence North 67°42'34" West, a distance of 208.71 feet to an iron pin; thence
South 22°17'26" West, a distance of 208.71 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 1.000 acres. All bearings are based on KY State Plain South, Grid
North.
Easement Description
The follow is a easement description for a 20 -foot wide easement for ingress and
egress to a one -acre lot. This easement is across the property of Gordon Farms,
Inc. as recorded in Deed Book 853, Page 572 (Tract No. 3, Parcel B) in the office
of the County Court Clerk of McCracken County KY.
Beginning at a point in the east right-of-way line of Fisher Road,
said point being the centerline of the above referenced 20 -foot
wide easement (10 feet each side of centerline), said point being
measured 25.00 feet perpendicularly from a point in the centerline
of Fisher Road, said point also being South 22°28'09" West (Deed
Book 853, Page 572, Tract No. 3, Parcel B, bearing of record being
South 12° West), a distance of 10.00 feet from an iron pin and cap
stamped R.T. Carter L.S. 1982, said iron pin being the southwest
corner of the Scott McNeil and Lameta Hill property recorded in
Deed Book 968, Page 432, in the office of the County Court Clerk
of McCracken County, said iron pin also being in the west line of
the property of Gordon Farms, Inc. as recorded in Deed Book 853,
Page 572 (Tract No. 3, Parcel B) in the office of the County Court
Clerk of McCracken County, the point of beginning; thence from
the point of beginning and along the centerline of the above

referenced easement South 69°29'47" East, a distance of 34.04
feet; thence in a southeasterly direction along an arc turning to the
right, an arc distance of 20.22 feet, said arc having a radius of
62.11 feet, and said arc being subtended by a chord bearing South
53°07'58" East, a chord distance of 20.13 feet; thence South
47°48'31" East, a distance of 47.86 feet; thence South 60°19'48"
East, a distance of 52.00 feet; thence South 71°16'28" East, a
distance of 140.37 feet; thence in a southeasterly direction along an
arc turning to the right, an arc distance of 72.43 feet, said arc
having a radius of 35.91 feet, and said arc being subtended by a
chord bearing South 16°01'40" East, a chord distance of 60.76
feet; thence in a southwesterly direction along an arc turning to the
left, an arc distance of 77.41 feet, said arc having a radius of
112.66 feet, and said arc being subtended by a chord bearing South
19°56'48" West, a chord distance of 75.90 feet; thence South
06°37'27" East, a distance of 149.02 feet; thence in a southeasterly
direction along an arc turning to the left, an arc distance of 55.71
feet, said arc having a radius of 83.97 feet, and said arc being
subtended by a chord bearing South 25'41'16" East, a chord
distance of 54.70 feet; thence South 44°29'45" East, a distance of
52.11 feet; thence in a southeasterly direction along an arc turning
to the left, an arc distance of 10 1.3 1 feet, said arc having a radius
of 235.78 feet, and said arc being subtended by a chord bearing
South 54°46'30" East, a chord distance of 100.53 feet; thence in a
southeasterly direction along an arc turning to the left, an arc
distance of 30.39 feet, said arc having a radius of 47.87 feet, and
said arc being subtended by a chord bearing South 81°12'08" East,
a chord distance of 29.88 feet to the south line of the one -acre lot
described above. All bearings are based on KY State Plain South,
Grid North.
SECTION 3. Revenue generated by Barkley Regional Airport.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to
