A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
INITIATE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR CONSULTING
SERVICES RELATED TO A JOINT AGENCY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WITH McCRACKEN COUNTY
WHEREAS, State law mandates that any city or county that has Zoning
Regulations have an adopted Comprehensive Plan and once adopted, the plan must be
updated a minimum of at least once every five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah's current Comprehensive Plan was
approved by the City Commission on July 16, 2007; the goals and objectives were amended
in June 2012, and the Plan as a whole was readopted in June, 2017; and the Paducah
Planning Commission readopted goals and objectives in July 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and McCracken County have been working
to jointly prepare an RFP to provide a new Joint Agency Comprehensive Plan with
McCracken County; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to direct the City Manager to
prepare and initiate a Request for Proposals for the purpose of soliciting consulting services
related to the Joint Agency Comprehensive Plan.
KENTUCKY:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
create and initiate a Request for Proposals for the purpose of soliciting consulting services
related to the Joint Agency Comprehensive Plan.
SECTION 2. This Order will be in full force ffect from and after the
date of its adoption.
