A MUNICIPAL ORDER ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS THROUGH THE
FEMA ASSITANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT (AFG) IN AN AMOUNT
OF $237,272.73 TO FUND BAILOUT KITS FOR THE CITY'S
FIREFIGHTERS AND EXHAUST SYSTEMS FOR EACH OF THE FIVE FIRE
STATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO SAME
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2021, the Paducah Board of Commissioners
approved Municipal Order #2533 and Municipal Order #2534 authorizing applications for
Assistance to Firefighters matching grants for bailout kits and station exhaust systems; and
WHEREAS, the City has been notified of a total award of $237,272.73, and the
City of Paducah now wishes to accept all awarded grant funds.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts grant funds in the amount
of $237,272.73 through the Federal Emergency Management Agency purchase of bailout kits
and fire station exhaust systems for the Paducah Fire Department.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the grant agreement
and all documents related to same, as authorized in Section 1, above.
SECTION 3. That the required matching funds in a total amount of $23,727.27
shall be paid through Account No. 1000 1801 523070.
SECTION 4. That this order shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.
