HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO #2635MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 2635 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR A SAFE STREETS AND ROADS FOR ALL GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $17 MILLION THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO IMPROVE ROADWAY SAFETY THROUGH SAFETY ACTION PLAN DEVELOPMENT IN THE REDESIGN OF THE BUCKNER LANE/BROADWAY STREET AND LONE OAK ROAD/LABELLE AVENUE INTERSECTION WITH IMPROVEMENTS TO 32ND STREET AND BUCKNER LANE TO BETTER ACCOMMODATE TRAFFIC FLOW BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to apply for a Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) Grant through the United States Department of Transportation in the amount of $17 million . This grant will be used to redesign the Buckner Lane/Broadway Street and Lone Oak Road/Labelle Avenue intersection with improvements to 32nd Street and Buckner Lane to better accommodate traffic flow. There is a 20% match requirement for this grant that can be a combination of cash and in-kind. The City of Paducah will partner with the Kentucky State Transportation Cabinet if the grant is received. SECTION 2.
