Special Called Meeting
Board of Commissioners
Housing Authority of Paducah
May 26, 2022
1. CALL TO ORDER
In accordance with a Special Meeting Notice, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing
Authority of Paducah met for a special called meeting on May 26, 2022 at the Harvey Riley
Center for Education, 2304 Ohio Street, Paducah, Kentucky. This special called meeting was
held in accordance with the Kentucky Open Meetings Act.
2. ROLL CALL
Vice Chairwoman Melanie Nunn called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. (Central Time)
Upon roll call, those answering present were:
Vice Chairwoman Nunn x
Commissioner Henderson x
Commissioner Vontesmar x
Commissioner Parker
Commissioner Narozniak
3. ESTABLISH QUORUM
Vice Chairwoman Nunn declared a quorum to be present. She then called the meeting to order
and welcomed all of the attendees present.
Attendees: Tommy Hollimon, Jr. (Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Paducah),
LaToya Burton (Human Resources Director for the Housing Authority of Paducah), and Jay
Matheny of Denton Law Firm, PLLC
4. ACTION ITEMS
4.1 Authorization to renew medical health benefit plan with Anthem Blue Cross/Blue
Shield
LaToya Burton, Human Resources Director for the Housing Authority Paducah,
presented an overview of the renewal proposal for the Housing Authority's health
benefit plan for 2022-2023, as well as an overview of premium changes for the
Housing Authority's health benefit plan for 2022-2023.
Following this overview, a motion was made by Commissioner Henderson to
authorize a renewal of the Housing Authority's health benefit plan for 2022-2023
based upon the renewal proposal presented. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Vontesmar. Upon roll call vote, those answering "Aye" were Vice
Chairwoman Nunn, Commissioner Henderson, and Commissioner Vontesmar.
"Nays" none. Vice Chairwoman Nunn declared the motion to be carried.
5. ADJOURN
There being no further business, Vice Chairwoman Nunn requested a motion to adjourn the
meeting. Commissioner Henderson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner
Vontesmar seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting. Upon roll call, those answering "aye"
as to the motion to adjourn were Vice Chairwoman Nunn, Commissioner Henderson, and
Commissioner Vontesmar. There were no "nays." Vice Chairwoman Nunn declared the motion
to be carried. As a result, Vice Chairwoman Nunn declared the meeting to be adjourned.
