A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
MAKE PAYMENT TO PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM FOR CONSTRUCTION IN AID FEES
FOR THE SOUTH 24TH & SOUTH 25TH STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $74,185.55, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS
RELATED TO SAME
WHEREAS, on March 11, 2021, the President signed the American Rescue Plan
Act; and
WHEREAS, the State notified the City of Paducah of $6,439,016 in available
funding; and
WHEREAS, on July 13, 2021, the Paducah Board of Commissioners adopted
Municipal Order #2481, which appropriated $4 million of ARPA funding toward specific
stormwater mitigation projects; and
WHEREAS, on May 24, 2022, the Paducah Board of Commissioners adopted
Ordinance Number 2022-05-8736, which approved a contract with Central Paving of Paducah
for the South 25a` Street Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, during utility relocation for this project, Paducah Power System
moved and replaced poles and cut back trees within the right-of-way, resulting in a fee of
$74,185.55.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is authorized to pay Paducah Power System
the amount of $74,185.55 for construction in aid fees related to the South 24a'/South 251` Streets
Improvement Project and authorizes the execution of all documents related to same. This
expenditure shall be charged to the South 25a' Street Improvement Project, Account Number
ST0040.
SECTION 2. This Municipal Order shall be eTAe'ctive from and after the date of
its adoption.
