A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PADUCAH POLICE
DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR A 2022 U.S. BULLETPROOF VEST PARTNERSHIP
GRANT IN AN AMOUNT OF $6,804 THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Paducah Police Department is hereby authorized to apply
for a 2022 U.S. Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant through the U.S. Department of Justice in the
amount of $6,804 to be used to purchase twenty-one (21) body armor vests for the Police
Department. The total cost of the vests will be $13,608 ($648 per vest). This grant requires a
50% match; therefore, the Police Department is requesting $6,804 from the BVP with the Police
Department providing a cash match of $6,804 from the Police Department's FY23/24 operating
funds, Account Number 10001602-535130.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
