Paducah Civic Beautification Board Meeting
ISD February 14th, 2022
MAR 14 2022 1 12 Noon

I. Jackie called the meeting to order at 12 noon.
11. Pledge was recited and phones silenced. In
attendance were Karen Petter, Jackie Smith,
Ronna Ward, Phyllis Clymer, Carol Vanderboegh,
Monica Feiler, Laura Kauffman, Mary Hammond,
Katie Axt and Nick Hutchison.
III. Karen handed out the minutes of the last meeting
and all was approved. Phyllis Clymer accepted the
motion to be approved and Ronna Ward
seconded.
IV. Reports: Dogwood Trail: Jackie reported the start
will be moved from Whitehaven to make it simple.
Start will be at Fountain Ave. Route is changing
also. Mary Hammond made note some larger
buses may not make some of the turns in Forest
Circle. May not be able to have buses. There will
be no trolley or pre -party, kickoff this year. The
women's club will have the art show. We will sell
the spotlights in Paducah Power parking lot on
March 12th 10 am -12 noon. The sign up for DWT
was passed for everyone to volunteer. We have
100. Carol will be in charge. Children's art contest
will take place. Monica will contact teachers to get
the word out this will take place. Volunteer basis.
Awards will be $100 to the winners. A motion was
made to a lot Monica $400 to move project
forward. Phyllis accepted and Carol seconded.
Minute Man will be contacted to print the logo for
us. Jackie will let Andrea Underwood know about
the money.
V. Treasurer: No expenditures
VI. Corresponding Secretary: no report
VII. Recording Secretary: no report
VIII. Membership: No report
IX. House of the Month: no report
X. Adopt a Spot: no report
XI. Children's Memorial Garden: no report
XII. Garden club liaison: Paducah Garden Club will
have Mayfair on May 18th with a rain date of May
191h. Please note the email that was sent to the
group for information. Jackie asked for a copy of
garden club contacts for everyone.
XIII. Tree Board: no report. Mary asked about the tree
ordinance. Nic the new city planner attended the
meeting and said he is on the tree board.
XIV. Monument Board: no report
XV. City Hall fountain: no report
XVI. New Business: Ginny Hutson from Frencntown
Station sent Jackie and email regarding an event
all French Fete. She invited is all to attend this
event on April 30t". There will be a seminar about
herb gardening. There will be music, food trucks
etc. Awards reception for Dogwood Trail will be
May 10th at 5 pm at Commission meeting.
XVII. Unfinished Business: Pickup Paducah committee
needs at least 3 volunteers. We need high school
children to pick up trash on the main corridors
before Dogwood Trail. We will contact the schools
and principals. Katie Axt mentioned partnering
with the Chamber for help.
