MEETING MINUTES
August 27, 2020

The meeting of the Paducah-McCracken County Industrial Development Authority was held on
Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. in the boardroom at the Commerce Center located at
300 South Third St. In compliance with the Open Meetings Act, press had been notified of the
meeting.

Call to Order
Chair Bob Johnston called the meeting to order. A quorum was present.
Keith Anderson moved to approve the June 17, 2020 meeting minutes as written,
Bob Turok seconded; motion was unanimously approved.
Chairman Johnston asked for a motion to convene to Executive Session.
Keith Anderson moved to convene to Executive Session to discuss the future sale
or acquisition of a specific parcel(s) of real estate; as permitted by KRS
61.810(1)(b). Bob Turok seconded; motion was unanimously approved.
Keith Anderson moved to reconvene from Executive Session, J. P. Kelly seconded;
motion was unanimously approved.
Bob Turok made the motion to give Bruce Wilcox the authority to offer the acreage
to the prospect discussed at a price of $45,000 (approximately 3 acres). Keith
Anderson seconded; motion was unanimously approved.
New Business
Heather Pierce said she is working with Troutman Signs on the proper placement of the signage
at Industrial Park West. The McCracken County Fiscal Court approved the IDA’s request to use
RDAP funds to complete the cost of the signage. Jackson Purchase Electric, Big Rivers Electric
and Paducah Power are each contributing $5,000 toward the cost.

Heather said she is also working with Paducah Water on the water tower. The anticipate starting
construction after the first of the year.
There was also discussion on the maintenance of the Park. We have been told by the County
they are working on the bid for mowing.
Bruce Wilcox gave an update on the activities of Greater Paducah Economic Development.
With no other business to discuss, Chair Johnston called for the adjournment of the meeting.
Keith Anderson moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:25 p.m., Bob Turok seconded;
motion was unanimously approved.
