MINUTES OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 19, 2020, 5:30 P.M.
Video Conference Meeting via Zoom
Note: In order to keep the Commission and public safe in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak this
meeting was held virtually using video teleconferencing. In accordance with Senate Bill 150, the
public was invited to participate by joining https://us02web.zoom.us/s/83107661027, or view the meeting
on the government access channel, Government 11 (Comcast channel 11). The link was included on
individual legal notice.
Attendees: Chairwoman Cathy Crecelius, Joe Benberry, Paul Bradford, Valerie Pollard, Vice-Chair
Lorraine Schramke, Bob Wade
Absent: David Morrison
Staff: Josh Sommer, Associate Planner
Chairwoman Crecelius called the regularly-scheduled meeting of the Paducah Planning Commission
to order at 5:39 pm. Commissioners Crecelius, Benberry, Bradford, Pollard and Wade were visible on
the video monitor. Commissioner Schramke joined the meeting via telephone before the last item.
The pledge of allegiance to the U.S. flag was recited.
The Roll was taken.
Commissioner Wade offered the following motion: I move that the reading of the minutes for October
5, 2020 be waived and that the minutes of said meeting, as prepared by staff, be approved as written.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Bradford. No corrections were requested.
5 Ayes (Crecelius, Benberry, Bradford, Pollard, Wade), 0 Nays; Motion approved.
Planning Commission Continued Case
Case #: PLT2020-100 & PLT2020-101
Both cases were left on the table awaiting roadway and stormwater agreements between the
developers and the City Engineer’s office.
Planning Commission New Business
Case #: WAV2020-103 2029, 2031, 2033, 2035, 2037 and 2039 Irvin
Cobb Drive
Waiver of Subdivision.
Commissioner Benberry offered:
I move that this Commission receive and file the application of Westland Partners, LLC for the proposed
re-subdivision of property located at 2029, 2031, 2033, 2035, 2037 and 2039 Irvin Cobb Drive.

I further move that the requested waiver of the public hearing and the dedication of streets be given
and that approval of the submitted plat be granted.
I further move no direct access from Tract 3 onto Irvin Cobb Drive shall be given.
Commissioner Pollard seconded.
Josh Sommer, Associate Planner, stated that the new lot should have ingress/ egress only on the
platted easement to help reduce curb cuts and potential accidents.
No questions were asked. Chairwoman Crecelius called for the vote.

Case #: WAV2020-104 1415 Harrison Street and 1420 Martin Luther
King Jr. Drive
Waiver of Subdivision.
Commissioner Pollard offered:
I move that this Commission receive and file the application of the City of Paducah, Andrew Suggs and
Troy Jones for the proposed re-subdivision of property located at 1415 Harrison Street and 1420 Martin
Luther King Jr. Drive.
I further move that the requested waiver of the public hearing and the dedication of streets be given
and that approval of the submitted plat, file dated September 25, 2020 be granted.
Commissioner Wade seconded.
Josh Sommer, Associate Planner, stated that the City of Paducah initiated this plat. The alley closure
reflected thereon was being done to clean up lot lines for the development of Remington
Subdivision.
No questions were asked. Chairwoman Crecelius called for the vote.

Adjournment
Chairwoman Crecelius asked if there was any other business to be brought before the Planning
Commission, seeing none she adjourned the hearing at 5:43 pm.
