Minutes: Reviewed minutes from October. No proposed changes.
City Block Update: Discussed changes to design of City Block by Weyland Ventures, including
improvements, including parking and line of sight. Katie indicated that listening sessions for the 20+
different stakeholder groups are ending. Next step is Final Development Plan.
Monthly Reinvestment Stats:
Four new businesses opened in Q4: Moxie Mod, Barrel and Bond, Fox Briar, and River Rose.
Two businesses utilized façade grants in Q4: Barrel and Bond, and Hollyhock House.
Public improvements in Q4 include access to the greenway trail.
Q4 saw significant increase in volunteer participation, with 79 volunteers contributing
approximately 129 volunteer hours.
2019 Work Plan:
Promotions: Strategic goal setting will begin in December, with a defined scope for promotions.
Organizational Capacity: A future goal for Main Street may be to widen the draw of participants
from new and diverse neighborhoods, with the hope that participants will also bring new and
diverse volunteers.
Design Guidelines: Design guideline draft will be completed by next design committee meeting.
Economic Vitality: Jennifer Frazier named chair of this committee. This committee will help
oversee development projects that are in the works and help establish internship opportunities
in the areas of architecture, historic preservation, and urban design.

Design: The design committee proposed expanding the boundary where historic guidelines will
be in effect, to include areas of infill in Lower Town and the area spanning from Downtown to
Board of Directors
