HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-5-6350ORDINANCE NO. 2001-5-6350 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF COLE ELECTRIC FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIGHTING UNITS FOR THE MARKET HOUSE SQUARE AND MAIDEN ALLEY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Cole Electric in the amount of $12,936.20, for sale to the City of lighting units for Market House Square and Maiden Alley, said purchase being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of Cole Electric of April 30, 2000. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Cole Electric for the purchase of the lighting units authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account Number 001- 2202-531-3918. SECTION 4. In order to complete this project before the end of the current fiscal year, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one reading.
