AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JI AR PAVING COMPANY, INC.

FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
! AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH RESURFACM

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF

PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:

SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving
Company, Inc. for resurfacing various streets in the City of Paducah, including the
raising and resetting of manholes, as follows:
Bituminous Concrete (Class I, Type A) $17.40 per ton
Bituminous Tack (SS -1H) .70 per gallon
Manholes to be raised 100.00 each
Said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing bids which
was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 22, 1975, said bid being dated
May 5, 1975.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company, Inc. for the resurfacing of said streets
and for the raising and resetting of manholes, which contract shall be in compliance toil
Section 1 above, the Resolution authorizing bids, plans and specifications, and the bid
of Jimar Paving Company, Inc.
SECTION 3. The cost of this project shall be paid from General Fund
Account No. 3454.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
