ORDINANCE NO. 75-5-1131
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY
TREASURER TO PAY THE SUM OF $1,250.00 TO MARY BOAZ FOR A PERMANENT
RIGHT -OF -NAY FOR THE ELMDALE ROAD EXTENSION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager and the City Treasurer be, and they
are hereby, authorized to pay to Mary Boaz the sum of $1,250 as the City's share
for the purchase of a permanent right-of-way for the Elmdale Road Extension upon
the hereinafter described land in McCracken County, Kentucky:
Beginning at the grantor's southwest property corner,
said point also being in the north right-of-way line of the
Bleich Road; thence north 8 degrees 51 minutes east along
said west property line, same being center line of proposed
Elmdale Road a distance of 815 feet to the grantor's northwest
corner; thence south 80 degrees 39 minutes east along the grantor's
north property line a distance of 50 feet to a point, said point being
the intersection of said north property line and the east right-of-way
line of proposed Elmdale Road; thence south 8 degrees 51 minutes
west along the east right-of-way line of proposed Elmdale Road,
said line also being parallel to and 50 feet east of said proposed
centerline of Elmdale Road, to a point at the intersection of the
north right-of-way line of Bleich Road and said east right-of-way
line of proposed Elmdale Road; thence along said north right-of-
way line of Bleich Road to the point of beginning.
The above described tract contains .96 acres, more or less.
The above described parcel is a portion of a tract conveyed to the
grantor by Miss Zelia Dowdy on March 22, 1945 as recorded in Deed
Book 235, page 105 in McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
SECTION 2. Upon receipt of a deed conveying said property to the City
of Paducah and approved by the Corporation Counsel, the payment of the purchase
price set out in Section 1 hereof to Mary Boaz is hereby authorized and directed.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection
In the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
