AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY TREASURER TO WITHHOLD A FEE OF
TWO PERCENT (291.) FOR THE COLLECTION OF SCHOOL TAXES LEVIED FOR THE
BENEFIT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION OF THE FEES SO COLLECTED AND RETAINED",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ON DECEMBER 11, 1956, AND LAST AMENDED ON JUNE
24, 1969
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on
December 11, 1956, and last amended on June 24, 1969, be further
amended and reordained so that same as amended and reordained shall
read as follows:
"SECTION 1. That the City Treasurer of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, directed to withhold a fee of 2.15%
on all tax collections made for the benefit of the Board of Education
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and retroactive to January 1, 1973, and
should any sentence, clause or portion of this ordinance be declared
invalid, such invalidity shall in no way affect the remainder of the
ordinance.
