ORDINANCE NO. 75-4-1112
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SOUTIIERN STATES ASPHALT
CO1,1PAATY, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF IT'S REQUIREMENT OF ASPHALT FOR
THE YEAR 1975, TO BE USED 1N STREET CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORK, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Southern States
Asphalt Company, Inc. , dated April 1, 1975, for sale to the City of it's 1975 requirement
of asphalt, either liquid or emulsified, or both, to be used in street construction and repair
work, said bid being in words and figures as follows:
"In response to your request for bids for emulsified asphalts
for the calendar year 1975, we are pleased to quote the
following prices:
AE -200 $0.3374 delivered/gallon
RS -2 $0.3374 delivered/ gallon
Primer L $0.3074 delivered/ gallon
Pug Mill Rental $0.0200 per gallon
The above prices cover delivery to any point in the city of
Paducah, and all materials will meet the current 'Kentucky
Department of Highways Standard Specifications for Road and
Bridge Construction"'.
Said bid being in compliance with the resolution authorizing such bids which was adopted
by the Board of Commissioners on March 25, 1975.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
ito execute a contract with Southern States Asphalt Company, Inc. for the purchase of the
�1 items set forth in Section 1 above, and according to the terms and conditions of said
�! bid and said resolution.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said material shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3412.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for one week
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall he in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
