A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF RESTROOM FACILITIES IN STUART NELSON PARK, AND
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH A CONTRACT MAY BE LET
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
advertise for bids for labor and material for the construction of restroom facilities
located in Stuart Nelson Park; said advertisement for bids shall be in words and
figures as follows:
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS
The City of Paducah, Kentucky, will receive bids for the construction
of Restroom Facilities in Stuart Nelson Park until 2:00 p.m. , on the 14th
day of March at the office of the City Manager, City Ball, Paducah,
Kentucky, at which time all bids will be publicly opened in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall and read aloud.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Plans and specifications are on file and may be obtained at the office
of the City Engineer, City hall, Paducah, Kentucky.
PROPOSAL GUARANTY
A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable
sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be
submitted with each bid.
PERFORMANCE BOND AND LABOR AND MATERIAL BOND
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for
satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Dond -
each in the amount of one hundred percent (10096) of the Contract,
as provided for in the specifications,
WAGE RATES
j Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum
salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid
on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees
and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because
of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED
The City of Paducah reserves the right to reject any or all bids
or waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn
for a period of thirty (10) days subsequent to the opening of bids
without the consent of thc'(1ity of Paducah,

SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by posting

a notice at the City Ball door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the
Paducah Sim -Democrat as required by law. All bids shall be sealed and no bid
shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All

bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening

of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to

j the best responsible bidder. The Board shall have the right to refuse and reject
n
any and all bids.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
