ORDINANCE NO. 75-1-1076
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF FEDERAL SIGN AND SIGNAL
CORPORATION FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF RADIO ACTIVATED SIREN TIMERS
AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH CIVIL DEFENSE
SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Federal Sign and
Signal Corporation for sale to the City of radio activated siren timers and associated
equipment to be used by the City of Paducah Civil Defense System, for the price
of $3,519.75, f.o.b. Paducah, Kentucky, and excluding applicable taxes, said bid
being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for
bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on
November 26, 1974, and as contained in the bid of Federal Sign and Signal Corporation
dated December 12, 1974.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Federal Sign and Signal Corporation for sale to the City of
the equipment authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged to
General Fund Account No. 2365.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one (1) week for public inspection
in the, completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall he in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
