ORDINANCE NO. 75-1-1075
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND THE
CONTRACT WITH WILKINS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., DATED JULY 10, 1974,
FOR PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS
AND DRIVE APRONS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, TO AND INCLUDING JUNE 30, 1975,
AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, pursuant to Ordinance No. 74-7-999,
passed by the Board of Commissioners on July 9, 1974 awarded a contract to Wilkins
Construction Company, Inc. for construction of concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks
and drive aprons at various locations throughout the City of Paducah, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the contract executed as directed by Ordinance
No. 74-7-999 and engineering specifications pertaining thereto, an extension of time
up to six months may be granted if both parties agree to such extension, and
WHEREAS, both the City of Paducah, Kentucky and Wilkins Construction
Company, Inc. agree that the aforesaid contract dated July 10, 1974 should now be
extended to June 30, 1975.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to extend the contract with Wilkins Construction Company, Inc. , originally
It dated July 10, 1974, to and including June 30, 1975.
! SECTION 2. That Account Number 3454 be charged with all sums expended

I� during the period of the aforesaid contract extension.

SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
�i be in full force and effect immediately thereafter, j
