ORDINANCE NO. 75-1-1069
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE SUM OF $15,000.00 FROM THE
SOUTHSIDE KIWANIS CLUB OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO BE USED IN THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE KOLB PARK SWIMMING POOL, AND PROVIDING FOR
AN OPTION TO LEASE NO. 2 FIRE STATION LOCATED IN KOLB PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, has undertaken construction
of swimming pool and bath house facilities in Kolb Park, and
WHEREAS, the Southside Kiwanis Club of the City of Paducah has been
instrumental in the development and construction of said swimming facilities, and
WHEREAS, the Southside Kiwanis Club of Paducah, Kentucky, has
donated the sum of $15,000.00 to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to be used to
help defray the cost of construction of the aforesaid swimming facilities,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to accept the sum of $15,000.00 from the Southside Kiwanis Club of Paducah,
Kentucky, to be used to defray construction cost of the Kolb Park Swimming
Pool.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel is hereby directed to prepare,
and the Diayor and City Clerk arc hereby authorized to execute, an option for the
Southside Kiwanis Club to lease Fire Station No. 2 under the following conditions:
In the event the City of Paducah should ever decide Fire Station
No. 2 is not needed for a valid municipal purpose, then it may be leased to the
Southside Kiwanis Club to be used as a community center for all persons in the
City of Paducah under the supervision of the Southside Kiwanis Club.
SECTION 3. 'Chis ordinance shall be in full force and effect
