ORDINANCE NO. 74-12-1065
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAIi, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 27-12. "Same -Use charge", of the Cade of
Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that
said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 27-12. Same - Use charge.
Private collectors authorized to collect refuse in the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
and private commercial collectors operating within the limits of McCracken County,
Kentucky, shall be licensed upon their application to the city treasurer to dispose
of collected waste and refuse at the city's sanitary landfill upon the purchase of a
dumping license as follows:
(a) For vehicles capable of carrying sixteen (16) cubic yards or less,
there shall be an annual dumping fee of $1,620.00.
(b) For vehicles with a load capacity between sixteen (16) cubic yards and
twenty-five (25) cubic yards, there shall be an annual dumping fee of
$1,900.00.
(c) For all vehicles with a capacity in excess of twenty-five (25) cubic yards
the annual permit fee shall be negotiated with the city manager.
(d) The foregoing license fees shall be paid to the city treasurer who
shall issue a permit to the licensee for the period covered, and licenses
may be issued on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis.
(c) The rates for dumping permits shall be per vehicle used, and the permit
Jshall not be transferable except upon disposal of the collection vehicle
by the licensee, at which time the licensee may transfer the license to
the purchaser of the vehicle, or may use the license with it new vehicle of

an appropriate size acquired by the licensee to replace a licensed vehicle.
(f) The city treasurer shall forward a copy of all licenses issued to the
director of the refuse departmeW.
SECTION 2. Section 1 amends an ordinance darted December 16, 1952,

which was last amended by Ordinance No. 73-10-889 which was adopted October 9,
1573.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
