ORDINANCE NO. 74-8-1008
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF L. H. ALLCOCK AND WIFE,
BEATRICE FAY ALLCOCK, OF ROUTE 1, SYMSONIA, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT NO. 7, BLOCK NO, 1, OF HAYS
ADDITION, ON ASHBROOK AVENUE, FOR THE SUM OF $600.00, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE, A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of L. H. Allcock and wife, Beatrice Fay Allcock,
in the amount of $600.00, to purchase the interest of the City in the following described
land in said city be accepted, said land being described as follows:
Lot No. 7 in Block No. 1, Hays Addition,
fronting 40 feet on Ashbrook Avenue between
Yeiser Street and Powell Street, and as shown
on page 27 of Block Map Book No. 6 in the
office of the City Engineer, See Deed Book 243,
page 518.
Being the same land (Lena Faegin property) conveyed
to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy, Treasurer,
by deed dated June 14, 1974, and of record in Deed
Book 563, page 771 in the McCracken County Court
Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $600.00 to the City Treasurer,
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to L. H.
Allcock and wife, Beatrice Fay Allcock, in survivorship, all the right, title and
interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed
of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and
shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be ih full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
