A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SWIMMING POOL AND BATH HOUSE TO BE LOCATED AT
KOLB PARK IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
UPON WHICH A CONTRACT MAY BE LET
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
advertise for bids for labor and material to construct a swimming pool and bath house
at Kolb Park, Paducah, Kentucky, said advertisement for bids to be in words and figures
as follows:
"The City of Paducah will receive bids for construction of Kolb Park
Swimming Pool, located within the city limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, until 10 a.m., July 15, 1974, at the City Commission
Chambers, City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at which time all bids
shall be opened and read aloud.
The project consists of a swimming pool and equipment building.
Proposed forms, contract documents, including plans and specifications
are on file at the office of Marcum a Fuller Associates, Suite 416
Citizens Bank Building, P. 0. Box 307, Paducah, Kentucky.
Copies may be obtained by depositing $25.00 with the engineers
for each set so obtained. Full refund when documents are returned
in good condition to the engineers within ten (10) days after bid
opening. Documents are available and are on file at the following
Plan Rooms:
Associated General Contractors, Paducah, Kentucky
Dodge/Scan, Nashville, Tennessee; Evansville, Indiana,
and St. Louis, Missouri.
A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety
in an amount equal to 5% of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satis-
factory performance and payments bond. Attention is called to the fact
that not less than minimum salaries and wages, as set forth in the
specifications must be paid on this project.
The City of Paducah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to
waive informalties in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a
period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without
written consent of the owner.

SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by posting a notice
at the City hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Paducah
Sun -Democrat as required by law. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received
after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City
Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with

the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the best responsible bidder.
The Board shall have the right to refuse and reject any and all bids.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and atter
the date of its adoption.
