ORDINANCE NO. 74-4-967
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIRAR PAVING COMPANY FOR
RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
AUTHORIZING TI-fE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
RESURFACING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving
Company for resurfacing various streets in the City of Paducah, including the raising
and resetting of manholes, as follows:
Bituminous Concrete (Class I, Type A) 10,000 tons 17.60 per ton $176,000.00
Bituminous Tack (SS -1H) 5,000 Gals .55 per gal. 2,750.00
Manholes to be raised 100 65.00 each 6,500.00
Total Bid $185,250.00
Said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing bids which
was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 2, 1974, said bid being dated
and received April 12, 1974.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company for the resurfacing of said streets and
for the raising and resetting of manholes, which contract shall be in compliance with
Section 1 above, the Resolution authorizing bids, plans and specifications, and the
bid of Jimar Paving Company dated April 2, 1974.
SECTION 3. The cost of this project shall be paid from Federal Revenue
Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 3454.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
