DRDINANCE NO. 74-4-956
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MANNING E(;UIPMENT, INC.
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 20 CUBIC YARD REFUSE PACKER BODY
FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY hIANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of
Manning Equipment, Inc. , for sale to the City of one (1) Heil 20 cubic yard
Model Mark HI Refuse Packer Body for use in the Refuse Department, for the
total sum of $8,356.00, less trade-in for one 1963 Ford cab and chassis Model C750,
Serial No. C75FU-4009B, equipped with a 1963 model, 16 cubic yard Garwood
refuse packer in the amount of $1,500.00, for a net amount of $7,198.80, including
applicable taxes, said bid being in substantial compliance with bid specifications
and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution adopted by the Board of
Commissioners on March 12, 1974, and as contained in the bid of Manning Equipment,
Inc. dated March 25, 1974.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Manning Equipment, Inc. for sale to the City of the
vehicle authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. The
purchase price for said vehicle shall be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund Account No. 3514.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for one
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
