ORDINANCE NO. 74-1-931
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH COMMUNITY PROGRAM CONSULTANTS, INC. FOR REMOVAL
AND RELOCATION OF CERTAIN SEWER FACILITIES AS REQUIRED BY THE
KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, RELATING TO THE DEVELOPMENT
OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 24
WHEREAS, the City has been requested by the Kentucky Department
of Transportation to remove and relocate sewer facilities, including a lift station,
for the establishment of Interstate Highway 24 in the vicinity of U. S. 62, and
WHEREAS, the cost of qualified engineering services relating to the design
and resident supervision of such relocation will ultimately be reimbursed to the
City of Paducah by the Kentucky Department of Transportation, and
WHEREAS, said department has concurred in the employment of Community
Program Consultants, Inc. for such engineering services, and
WHEREAS, said engineering firm previously prepared the layout design
and construction of the sewer facilities involved, including the lift station, at or near
the intersection of U. S. Highway 62 and 1-24.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Community Program Consultants, Inc. for the design and
resident supervision for relocating sanitary sewer facilities, including a lift station,
at the intersection of U. S. 62 and I-24 for a total sum not to exceed $19,906.00,
said sum to be charged to Account INTO. 3455 of the General Funds of the City.
SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
