ORDINANCE NO. 73-12-907
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON NORTH
10TH STREET BETWEEN BURNETT STREET AND FLOURNOY STREET, AND AMENDING
THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission
on December 3, 1973, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED ON NORTH 10TH STREET BETWEEN BURNETT AND FLOURNOY STREETS",
be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following properly be, and
it is hereby, changed from R-3, Medium Density Residential Zone, to M-1, Light
Industrial Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of North 10th
Street with the center line of Burnett Street; thence in a northwesterly
direction along and with the center line of North 10th Street a distance
of 860 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of North 10th
Street with the center line of Flournoy Sheet; thence at right angles
along and with the center line of Flournoy Street toward North 9th
Street a distance of 180 feet; thence at right angles in a southeasterly
direction, parallel with North 10th Street, a distance of 425 feet to a
point in the center line of Buckside Alley; thence at right angles and
toward North 9th Street along and with the center line of Buckside Alley
a distance of 77 feet to a point; thence at right angles, parallel with
North 10th Street, along and with the dividing line between John W.
Watters and Harold Benn a distance of 105 feet to a point; thence at
right angles and toward North 10th Street a distance of 72 feet to a
point in the center line of a 10 fool alley lying between North 10th
Street and North 9th Street; thence at right angles along and with
the center line of said 10 foot alley 145 feet to the center line of a
10 foot alley lying between Flournoy Street and Burnett Street;
thence at right angles along and with the center line of said alley a
distance of 300 feet to the point of intersection with the center line
of North 9th Street; thence at right angles along and with the
center line of North 9th Street a distance of 185 feet to the point of
intersection of the center line of North 9th Street with the center
line of Burnett Street; thence at right angles along and with the
center line of Burnett Street a distance of 485 feet to the point of
intersection of the center line of Burnett Street with the Center line
of North 10th Street, the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other
section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this
ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable
from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
