BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW 1974 FOUR DOOR STATION WAGON FOR USE
IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON
WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Mamager be, and he is hereby, requested
to advertise for bids for sale to the City of Paducah of one (1) new 1974 four door
station wagon for use in the Police Department, said vehicle to have the following
specifications:
Minimum wheel base 121"
Fifteen (15) inch wheels
Full Four (4) ply tires - not four ply rating
Power steering
Aid Conditioning - factory installed
Seat belts, with automatic rollers for each
Minimum 350 cubic inch V-8 engine
Color: Blue with white top and white front doors

Heavy duty automatic transmission
Heater and defroster - large size
Standard equipment to be described fully
Dual sun visors
Back-up lights

Power brakes shall be of heavy duty variety, having the largest
braking surface company has available
Spare tire and wheel
SECTION* 2. Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for the
purchase of the vehicle specified above, and said price shall include any and all
applicable taxes. i
Each bidder shall state in his bid the popular name and model
upon which he bids, and if requested, will exhibit at the City Hall to the City Officials
a similar vehicle of the model bid upon with the equipment offered, and the successful
bidder must be capable of delivering same within sixty days after the date of any contract. Ii
SECTION 3. The City Manager shall advertise for scaled bids by posting a
notice at the City Hall door and by publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. All bids

shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the
opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a
contract to the best responsible bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the
right to reject any and all bids, and the City shall not become legally obligated to any
bidder until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
