HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 339, Ordinance Number 73-10-894339 ORDINANCE NO. 73-10-894 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF 13TH AND MADISON STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on October 15, 1973, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF 13TH AND MADISON STREETS", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3, Medium Density Residential Zone to B-3, General Business Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of DIadison Street with the center line of North 13th Street; thence in a Southerly direction along and with the center line of North 13th Street a distance of 247 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of North 13th Street with the center line of a 10 foot alley; thence at right angles and in a Westerly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 70 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of said alley with the West property line of Richard Smith; thence at right angles and in a Northerly direction, along and with the Westerly property line of Richard Smith a distance of 247 feet to a point in the center line of Madison Street; thence at right angles and in an Easterly direction, along and with the center line of Madison Street a distance of 70 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5.
