ORDINANCE NO. 73-8-866
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON
JACKSON STREET BETWEEN 6TH AND 7TH STREETS; AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH
ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission
on June 4, 1973, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED ON JACKSON STREET BETWEEN 6TH AND 7TH STREETS", be approved as
the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is
hereby, changed from R-4, High Density Residential Zone to B-3, General Business Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the west property line of
W. R. Parker, if extended, with the center line of Jackson Street;
which point is located 202.5 feet west of the intersection of the
center line of Jackson Street with the center line of South 6th
Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the dividing
line of IV. R. Parker and J. C. Johnson a distance of 206.25 feet to
a point, the southeast corner of J. C. Johnson; thence in a westerly
direction along and with the rear line of J. C. Johnson and R. C.
Massie a distance of 107 feet to a point, the southwest corner of
J. C. Johnson; thence in a northerly direction along and with the
West line of J. C. Johnson a distance of 95.25 feet to a point; the
northeast corner property line of Eddie Whitfield; thence in a westerly
direction along and with the southwest property line of J. C. Johnson
a distance of 8.5 feet to a point, the southeast corner of the L. C.
Donaldson property line; thence continuing westerly along and with the
south property line of L. C. Donaldson a distance of 87.75 feet to the
center line of South 7th Street; thence in a northerly direction along
and with the center line of South 7th Street to the point of intersection
of the center line of South 7th Street with the center line of Jackson
Street a distance of 111 feet; thence in an easterly direction along and
with the center line of Jackson Street a distance of 145.25 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other
section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance
to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
