ORDINANCE NO.73-7-859
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF BUSSES ON JEFFERSON
STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FROM THE WEST LINE OF SEVENTH
STREET TO THE EAST LINE OF THIRTY-FIRST STREET, AND PROVIDING PENALTY
FOR VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Definitions (as used in this ordinance)
"Busses" means any motor vehicle transporting passengers for hire
between one or more cities and their suburban areas but not granted authority to
engage in intra -city transportation. It is expressly stated that the term "busses"
shall not refer to any bus operating under the authority of the City of Paducah
and transporting passengers for hire between points within the corporate limits
of this city, and shall not include any industrial bus, school bus, church bus or
similar operation.
SECTION 2. No person shall operate any bus as defined in Section 1
hereof, upon Jefferson Street in the City of Paducah between the west line of Seventh
Street and the east line of Thirty-first Street..
SECTION 3. Any person, firm, or corporation who violates the provisions
of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Ten ($10.00) Dollars nor more than One
Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each offense.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after August 6, 1973.
