ORDINANCE NO. 73-6-838
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY
FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, TO PURCHASE THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED ALONG U. S,
HIGHWAY 60, FOR THE SUM OF $400.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH. KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, for the use and
benefit of the Department of Highways, in the amount of $400.00 to purchase the interest
of the City in the following described land in said City, be accepted, said land being
described as follows:
Parcel No. 41
Beginning at a point of intersection of the West Property Line and the North
Existing Right of Ray Line of U. S. 60, also being 38 feet Left or North of and opposite
proposed centerline Station 126!63.22, thence N 24 degrees 12 minutes 42 seconds E,
8.59 feet along the West Property Line to a point 46 feet Left or North of Station 126+66.35,
thence S 87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds E, 92.46 feet to the point of intersection with
the East Property Line 46 feet Left or North of Station 127+58.81, thence S 24 degrees 12
minutes 42 seconds W, 8.59 feet along the East Property Line to the point of intersection
with the Existing Right of Way Line 38 feet Left or North of Station 127«55.68, thence
N 87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds W. 92.46 feet along the Existing Right of Way Line
to the point of beginning.
It is the specific intention of the grantors herein to convey in fee simple the
property described above and designated as Parcel No, 41, containing 740 square feet,
of which 740 square feet is new Right of Way to be acquired and 0.0 square foot is
existing Right of Way.

Beginning at a point in the West Property Line, point being 46 feet Left or North
of Station 126+66.35, thence N 24 degrees 12 minutes 42 seconds E. 37.57 feet along the West
Property Line to a point 81 feet Left or North of Station 126+80.02, thence S 87 degrees
7 minutes 18 seconds E, 92.46 feet to the point of intersection with the East Property Line
81 feet Left or North of Station 127+72.48, thence S 24 degrees 12 minutes 42 seconds W,
37.57 feet along the East Property Line to a point 46 feet Left or North of Station 127+58.81,
thence N 87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds W, 92.46 feet to the point of beginning.
Parcel No. 41 (a)
Also beginning at a point 45 feet right of South of and opposite Station 126+95.70,
thence South 87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds E. 28.32 feet to the point of intersection
with the East Property Line 45 feet right or South of Station 127+24.02, thence S 23 degrees
22 minutes 42 seconds W, 1.07 feet along the East Property Line to a point 46 feet right or
South of Station 127+23.64, thence N 87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds W, 28.14 feet
to a point 46 feet right or South of Station 126+95.50, thence N 16 degrees 54 minutes
52 seconds E, 1.02 feet to the point of beginning.
It is the specific intention of the grantors herein to convey in fee simple the
property described above and designated as Parcel No. 41 (a), containing 28 square feet,
of which 28 square feet is new Right of Way to be acquired and 0.0 square foot is
existing Right of Way.

Also beginning at the point of intersection of the West Property Line and the
South Existing Right of Way Line of U. S. 60, point being 62 feet right or South of
and opposite Station 126*25.20, thence S 87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds E, 66.30 feet
to a point 62 feet right or South of Station 12691.50, thence N 16 degrees 54 minutes 52
seconds E, 16.09 feet to a point 46 feet right or South of Station 126+95.50, thence S
87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds E, 28.14 feet to the point of intersection with the East
Property Line 46 feet right or South of Station 127+23.64, thence S 23 degrees 22 minutes
42 seconds W, 41.64 feet along the East Property Line to a point 85 feet right or South of
Station 127+09.06, thence N 87 degrees 7 minutes 18 seconds W. 92.46 feet to the
point of intersection with the West Property Line 85 feet right or South of Station 126+16.60,
thence N 23 degrees 22 minutes 42 seconds E, 24.56 feet among the West Property Line
to the point of beginning.
It is the specific intention of the grantor herein to convey a construction easement
to the property described above and designated as Parcels No. 41 (b) and No. 41 (c) for
the purpose of constructing fill slopes, and said easement terminates and reverts upon
completion of same.
SECTION 2. Upon payment of the sum of $400.00 to the City Treasurer, the
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, for the use and benefit of the Department of Highways, all right, title
and interest of the City in the property described in Section I hereof, in accordance with
the provisions of the Deed of Conveyance submitted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
