ORDINANCE NO, 73-6-834
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HENRY A. FETTER SUPPLY COMPANY
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF APPROXIMATELY 350 QUARTZ IODINE LIGHTING
FIXTURES FOR USE BY THE PARKS G RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR BALLFIELDS AND
TENNIS COURTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH PURCHASES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the proposal of
Henry A. Fetter Supply Company for sale to the City of approximately 350 quartz iodine
lighting fixtures for use by the Parks and Recreation Department for ballfields and tennis
courts, in the amount of $25.45 per fixture with cross -arm mounting bracket and 1500 watt
quartz lamp, said bid being dated May 25, 1973. Said bid is in substantial compliance
with the resolution authorizing bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on May 15, 1973.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Henry A. Fetter Supply Company for the purchase of the aforesaid
lighting fixtures, said contract shall be in compliance with Section I above, the resolution
authorizing bids, and the bid of Henry A. Petter Supply Company.
SECTION 3. The cost of these fixtures shall be paid from Federal Revenue
Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 5205.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore
be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force
and effect immediately thereafter.
