A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PADUCAH CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION
BOARD FOR ITS OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS AND CONTINUOUS DEVOTION TO THE
IMPROVEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, the Paducah Civic Beautification Board was founded in 1955
on the principle that the quality of life for all citizens of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky would be enhanced by the beautification of our environment and
community surroundings, and
WHEREAS, since the date of its founding the Paducah Civic Beautification
Board Members have spent countless volunteer hours in their "Labor of Love"
dedicated to the beautification and civic betterment of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Civic Beautification Board has long been recognized
as a leader in the field of civic beautification, and has recently received the Home
and Neighborhood Development Sponsor's, W. Clyde Greenway First Place Award of
Excellence, representing its excellence over all other similar size cities located
in the Southeastern United States, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
realizes the enormous contributions that the volunteer members of the Paducah Civic
Beautification Board have made to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and desire to commend
them on their achievements and sincerely voice their appreciation for the Paducah
Civic Beautification Board's years of devotion to this city.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, does hereby formally commend the Paducah Civic Beautification Board
for its achieving the IV. Clyde Greenway First Place Award of Excellence, and further
expresses its sincere appreciation for the many years of volunteer service that the
Beautification Board's Members have devoted to the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
