ORDINANCE NO. 73 -5 -
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH
PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON
SECOND STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE, AND AMENDING
THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH. KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on May 7, 1973, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL
REPORT OF THE PADUCAI4 PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON SECOND STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY
AVENUE", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the
matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment
proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement
with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be.
and it is hereby, changed from M-1 Light Industry Zone to H-1, Historical Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
Broadway with the east property line of the A. L. Frank Estate
property, if extended, which point is 136 feet, more or less
west of the intersection of the center line of Broadway with the
center line of a 16 foot alley, lying between First and Second
Streets and extending from Broadway to Kentucky Avenue;
thence in a southerly direction and along and with the east
property line of the A. L. Frank Estate a distance of 91.33
feet to a point in the line of Petter Supply; thence at right
angles and in easterly direction along and with the Petter
Supply Line a distance of 56 feet to a point; thence at right
angles and in a southerly direction with the Petter Supply line
a distance of 10 feet; thence at right angles and in an easterly
direction along and with the Petter Supply line a distance of 80
feet to the center line of said 16 foot alley; thence at right angles
and in a southerly direction along and with the center line
of said alley a distance of 221.05 feet to a point, thence at right
angles and in a westerly direction along and with the line of
Mary Scott a distance of 81.25 feet to a point; thence at right
angles and in a southerly direction, with the east line of Harry
Barris a distance of 90.75 feet to a point in the center line of
Kentucky Avenue; thence at right angles and in a westerly
direction, along and with the center line of Kentucky Avenue,
a distance of 330 feet to the point of intersection of the center
line of Kentucky Avenue with the center line of a 23 foot alley
lying between and running parallel with Second Street and
Third Street; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction
along and with the center line of said 23 foot alley a distance of
211 feet to a point in the line of Richard Smith; thence at right
angles and in a westerly direction a distance of 11.5 feet to a point,
corner to D. E. Wilson Estate and Richard Smith; thence at right
angles and in a northerly direction along and with the rear property
line of Smith, Baskin, Edwards, Carlick, Emery and Sullivan, a
distance of 115 feet to a point, north corner of Norman Sullivan;
thence at right angles along and with Sullivan's north line toward

Second Street a distance of 64.5 feet to a point; thence at right angles
and in a northerly direction with the line of Carl Cohen a distance of
90.75 feet to a point in the center line of Broadway; thence at right
angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of
Broadway a distance of 219 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause,
the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect
any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent
of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof sep-
arable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
