ORDINANCE NO. 73-4-798
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MRS. KATE MARTIN, 1424 REED
AVENUE, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY IN
LOT 21 IN BLOCK 23 OF ROWLAND PLACE ADDITION FOR THE SUM OF $1,100.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Mrs. Kate Martin in the amount of
$1,100.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following described
land in said City be accepted, said land being described as follows:
Lot 21 in Block 23 of Rowland Place Addition,
fronting 50 feet on the west side of Reed
Avenue, 136 feet, more or less, northofNoble
Park, and as shown on page 82 of Block Map
Book No. 3 in the office of the City Engineer.
Being the same land (Isham Washington Estate
property) conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben
C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by deed dated May 11, 1972
and of record in Deed Book 540, page 361 in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $1,100.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to Mrs. Kate Martin all of the right, title and interest of
the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed
of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as
to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown
by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
