� ORDINANCE NO. 73-3-790
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH
SIDE OF BROAD STREET, NORTH OF ISLAND CREEK, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH
ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on March 19, 1973, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE
FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BROAD STREET, NORTH OF ISLAND
CREEK", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting
the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amend-
ment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to
be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from C-1, Conservancy Zone to R-3, Medium
Density Residential Zone -
Beginning at a point in the center line of Broad Street, which
point is that point at which Broad Street reduces in width from
190 feet to 60 feet, same b�i,ng the point of intersection between
the center line of Broad Street and the southwest corner of Fred
Morgan, if extended; thence in a northeasterly direction and along
and with the center line of Broad Street a distance of 179 feet to
a point; thence in a southeasterly direction at right angles to the
center line of Broad Street a distance of 230 feet to a point;
thence at right angles and in a northeasterly direction a distance
of 100 feet; thence at right angles and in a southeasterly direction
a distance of 100 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a
southwesterly direction and parallel with the center line of Broad
Street a distance of 314 feet to a point; thence at right angles
aid in a northwesterly direction a distance of 235 feet to a point
in the south line of Broad Street; thence in a northeasterly
direction along and with the south line of Broad Street a distance
of 35 feet to a point; thence in a northwesterly direction along
and with the southwest line of Elmer Crouch a distance of 95 feet
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for
any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or
provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each
and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
