A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE OBTAINING OF RIGHT-OF-WAY NECESSARY IN THE
WEST END SEWER EXTENSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the joint application previously submitted for the
extension of the City's sewer system to the Coleman Road Industrial
site owned by the Greater Paducah Industrial Development Association
has been approved by Federal Authorities, and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has agreed to assist in obtaining
of the necessary right-of-way for the extension of the aforesaid sewer,
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City that said
right-of-way be obtained by negotiations and amicable proceedings,
if possible,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into negotiations for the obtaining of the necessary right-
of-way to extend the City's sewer system to the Coleman Road Industrial
site along those routes designated by the City Engineer's office.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager shall, within a reasonable
period of time, report to the Board of Commissioners the result of his
negotiations in obtaining the aforesaid right-of-way.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
