ORDINANCE NO. 75-12-1207
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND
THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND TILE ANGEL OF MERCY, INC.
FROM JANUARY 29, 1976 UNTIL JUNE 30, 1976
WHEREAS, there now exists between the City of Paducah and Angel of Mercy, Inc.
a contract whereby the citizens of Paducah are, under certain conditions and circumstances,
provided professional ambulance services, and
WHEREAS, Angel of Mercy, Inc. has proposed that the aforesaid contract be
extended, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, the aforesaid services are of a vital nature to the health and safety of the
citizens of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to extend the contract between the City of Paducah and Angel of Mercy, Inc.
from January 29, 1976 until June 30, 1976.
SECTION 2. The terms of the aforesaid contract shall provide that Angel of
Mercy, Inc. shall be paid the sum of $833.00 per month for the services that it renders
under the provisions of the aforesaid contract, and that the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
will lease to Angel of Mercy, Inc., under terms and provisions approved by the
Corporation Counsel, the City's ambulance at a rental rate of $1.00 per month.
SECTION 3. Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 2177 shall be charged with
the monthly payments to Angel of !Mercy, Inc. referred to in Section 2 above.
Si.CTION 9. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for seven
(7) days In its completed form and if approved shall be in full force and effect ten (10)
(lays thereafter.
