A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO MAKE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE APPLICATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT FOR A CONCENTRATED CODE ENFORCEMENT AND PUBLIC NEIGHBORHOOD
IMPROVEMENT GRANT FOR THE MECHANICSBURG CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
PROJECT NO. KY -E-2
WHEREAS, since the original application by the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, for the Mechanicsburg Concentrated Code Enforcement Program
and the funding of said program under Project KY -E-2, there has been
a change in guidelines for permitted public improvements to be funded
with federal grant, and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to prepare an amendatory
application for Code Enforcement Grant Mechanicsburg Area No. 2, and
WHEREAS, a copy of the said amendatory application has been
received and filed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah
and has been approved by said Board,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and she is hereby, authorized
and directed to file with the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, an amendment
to the original application as was authorized by this Board for a
concentrated code enforcement program pursuant to Section 117 of the
Housing Act of 1949, said application to be known as Amendatory
Application City of Paducah, Kentucky, Mechanicsburg Concentrated
Code Enforcement Program Area No. 2, dated April 1972, and in all
respects in the same words and figures as the coty of said application
received and filed with the Minutes of this meeting.
SECTION 2. The Board hereby reaffirms all assurances heretofore
made by this Board regarding concentrated code enforcement activity.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
