ORDINANCE NO. 72-4-628
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HOWE FIRE APPARATUS COMPANY, INC.
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 1000 GALLON PER MINUTE PUMPING ENGINE
FOR USE IN THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Howe Fire
Apparatus Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of one (1) new 1000
gallon per minute pumping engine for use in the Paducah Fire Department
in the net amount of $29,489.00 according to the specifications contained
in the resolution authorizing bids adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on March 7, 1972, and as contained in the proposal of the bidder dated
March 24, 1972, said bid proposal being in substantial compliance with
the said resolution.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Howe Fire Apparatus Company, Inc. for the
purchase of the pumping engine as set out in Section 1 above, and
according to the specifications, bid and all contract documents upon
which said bid was based.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which
it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full
force and effect ten days thereafter.
