ORDINANCE NO. 72-3-621
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
LEASE WITH THE CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION BOARD FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, FOR THE MARKET HOUSE BUILDING SITUATED ON SOUTH SECOND
STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE, FOR A TERM OF FIVE YEARS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby,
authorized and directed to execute a lease between the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, and the Civic Beautification Board for the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, for the Market House Building situated on
South Second Street between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue for a period
of five years, and at a rental of One Dollar per year, and said lease
shall provide that either party may terminate the lease upon thirty
(30) days written notice, and that no part may be underlet without
the written approval of the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah. Said Lease shall further provide that the Lessee pay for
all utilities and ordinary repairs and maintenance to said property.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
