ORDINANCE NO. 72-2-613
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF A
PROPOSED CONTRACT FOR AN URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION TECHNICAL STUDY
GRANT FOR PROJECT NO. KY -T9-3 BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
WHEREAS, the United States of America (herein called the
"Government") has tendered to the City.of Paducah, Kentucky (herein
called the "Public Body") a proposed contract for an Urban Mass
Transportation Technical Study Grant to be known as Project No. KY -T9-3
under which the Government would make a grant of federal funds to the
Public Body in an amount not exceeding $10,000.00 to pay two-thirds
of the cost of said study, and
WHEREAS, the Public Body has given due consideration to the said
proposed contract,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager and City Clerk be, and they
are hereby, authorized and directed to execute the said proposed contract
in two counterparts on behalf of the Public Body, and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to impress and attest the official
seal of the Public Body on the contract, and to forward the contract
to the Department of Transportation, Urban Mass Transportation Adminis-
tration, for execution on behalf of the Government, together with such
other documents relative to the approval and execution thereof,as well
as to this ordinance as may be required by the Government.
SECTION 2. The proposed contract, a copy of which was received
and filed with the Minutes of the meeting at which this ordinance was
first introduced, is hereby incorporated herein by reference and made
a part hereof, and the same is hereby in all respects approved.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced by the Board of Commissioners and remain
on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted

shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
