ORDINANCE NO. 72-2-607
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ROBERT C. CHERRY, JR., TO
PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN A LOT AT THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF 27TH AND JONES STREETS FOR THE SUM OF $200.00, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Robert C. Cherry, Jr. in the amount
of $200.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the following
described lot in said City, be accepted, said lot being described as
follows:
Lot 1, Block 13, in Whittemore's West End Addition,
50 feet by 165 feet at the southeast corner of 27th and
Jones Streets, and as shown on page 89 of Block Map
Book No. 4 in the office of the City Engineer. See
Deed Book 161, page 109.
Being the same land (J. A. Gardner and A. Y. Martin
property) conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy,
City Treasurer, by deed dated February 4, 1972, and of
record in Deed Book 537 , page 56 in the McCracken
County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $200.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to Robert C. Cherry, Jr. all right, title and interest of
the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said
deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty
as to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might
be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
